My Inner Athlete.

I believe I was born with a song in my heart. As a very young child I would sing and dance and make people happy. My favorite song was "Home, home on the range" and I would sing it at the top of my lungs. It still may be my favorite. As a first grader I directed the second grade rhythm band. I loved the white uniform and especially the baton. They actually followed my direction.

I played the clarinet in Jr. High, High School and College. I was in the marching band and marched in five mile parades. I loved playing in the concert band because we wore gowns and the boys wore suits. I took piano lessons and also sang in the choir and never had time to play sports. UNTIL NOW.

I have discovered I've been an athlete for decades and didn't know it.  I put down my clarinet and picked up the rotary cutter. I get exercise running from cutting table to sewing machine. Do I have to stop to cook? NO! I still have a song in my heart and sing while stitching.

I am a fulfilled woman.

Carpe Quiltiem y'all.
(My made-up word.)

Woodie
